Homeless Students
Homelessness is broadly defined to include (but is not limited to) a child who lacks a fixed regular and adequate nighttime residence. A child is deemed to be homeless if the child lives in a transition shelter, hotel or motel, is awaiting foster care, and/or is sharing the house of other persons due to loss of housing or economic necessity.
Bullying Policy:
Bullying is a form of aggression and has several forms: Physical includes punching, shoving, poking, strangling, hair-pulling, beating, kicking, biting, etc. Verbal includes name calling, teasing, and gossip. Emotional includes rejecting, terrorizing, humiliating, manipulating friendships, ostracizing, peer pressure, etc. Sexual includes sexual harassment, unwanted touching, etc. Sexual abuse can be same gender and cross-gender. Bullying also includes harassing another person through the use of electronic communication.
